I urgently needed to see a Dr when my own family practitioner was fully booked so I attended the Broadway & Burrard Medical Clinic on Monday Nov 3rd as a "walk-in". I was promptly seen by Dr Rose Wong who was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. All my concerns were addressed and on 2 follow up visits my experiences were similar.
I am TOTALLY satisfied with the service I received, both from her and the support staff.

This review is about an experience I had today at the Broadway + Burrard Medical Clinic with Dr. Rxxx Wxxx - by far the WORST doctor I have ever encountered! She did not introducer herself, would not make eye contact, curtly asked what I wanted and when I began to explain my issue, she was already out the door to print off a refill prescription on the outside computer. I tried asking questions and raising some concerns I had and she bluntly cut me off (still refusing to look at me), shoved the prescription at me and literally ran away. The experience was so shocking that I am still completely stunned at how she got her medical licence. Imagine going to see a doctor and having them ignore you and pretend you're not there right in front of them! I assumed she must be going through some awful personal issues that day, but when I got home and googled her, I found a long list of complaints online that mirror my experience...this is obviously just her. This woman should not be allowed to serve people at a gas station, let alone be a medical professional. She clearly hates her job and hates people. She can't be bothered to show one fraction of an ounce of care or concern. I fear for any of her patients that might have serious health conditions that rely on her medical care. Wow. Unbelievably miserable person and horrid doctor. How does she have a job??

Having been to see Dr C***u as a walk-in patient in December and been very impressed, I was keen to use the service again but have been totally let down. The Receptionist was nowhere to be seen for 5 minutes so I waited and reviewed the price list as I am waiting to receive my care card. When she arrived and I requested an appointment, I was told in no uncertain terms that I must call in the morning. I asked that as it was 7.45 pm and there were two patients waiting, was the walk-in centre available to which she said yes and slumped in her chair, demanding my care card and drivers licence.I gave her the latter and my insurance card and she barked that the price would be $185 - $30 OVER the advertised fee and fee that I have previously paid. She then couldn't find me on the system and made me feel extremely uncomfortable whilst she searched for my details on the system. As she didn't find me, she said that they were now closed and I would have to leave, despite only two patients being present with 1 h 15 m until closing.

I'm interested as to what happens to all the complaints they clearly receive,, having reviewed the practice's online record but surely patient care must be a priority for the Doctors here - something which seems extremely lax to me. Sort it out.

I wish to provide feedback regarding the experience I had on Saturday, January 11th at the Broadway and Burrard Medical Clinic and Family Practice,Their hours of operation are Mon - Sun, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. After a long day at work, some difficulties walking and a long bus ride, I have finally reached the clinic at 7:55pm. I was told by the receptionist that they had enough patients for the day and they would not take anymore patients. I was surprised as there was only one patient waiting so I asked how that would be possible as they still had an hour before closing. She said they had two patients waiting and that was enough. I left very disappointed. Even if they had only one doctor, and they might have had more, an hour for two patients seems a lot.
I read some feedback online regarding that clinic and it seems that it had happened before. Perhaps the clinic staff wanted to go home earlier than 9pm. It seems to me unfair that they could so easily and so early turn down a patient. It they are not willing to work until late, they should change their hours of operation so we all know in advance.
