Terrible experience at the Broadway and Burrard Medical Clinic. The receptionist D*** was cold and unwelcoming. An actual robot would do this job with more compassion. Dr. C***had no bedside manner and seemed more concerned with gathering information for his report than assessing or treating my injury. I left with very little confidence that his diagnosis was more than an educated guess. There was no explanation of what led him to his conclusion or a treatment plan of any kind. I really got the impression that they are trying to turn over patients as quickly as possible, that they are solely in it for the money, and couldn\'t care less about the people they see. Wait, what do I need to do to get better? I still don\'t really know. I guess I\'ll go to another doctor tomorrow.

I have been coming to this Clinic for awhile and owe my life to these physicians. Don't be mislead by previous negative comments, for long negative commentary is purposely written so as to mislead and express anger by a patient for a doctor not agreeing to his/her unrealistic wants or requests. Exceedingly often these wants/requests are to compel and coerce some level of government to provide some kind of unrealistic benefit for which the hapless doctor is asked to fill in Forms for. The doctor often does not know the patient, and is unwittingly cast into the patient's foray of conflict, deceit and dysfunction. I have witnessed it often enough from the waiting room chair. The result is then negative doctor and clinic review directed at the clinic for what they ethically and simply cannot do, which would be to enable a non-sick nor suffering person by filling in a government Form. The backlash then ensues on this site, and others. Doctors are trained to look after the sick and suffering, and should not have to deal with those seeking to drink from the public trough. Editors here should know and be aware so to edit out these sorts of negative commentary. .. Know well that the doctors at this clinic are all highly professional and exceedingly good physicians.

Are their hours arbitrary? Website say open 9-9 on Sunday's, sign on the door saying"we'll reopen on Monday". Not impressed with the wasted trip.

I have attended this clinic for several years. The front desk staff have always been kind and willing to help. I have had several doctors over the years, I have been treated with respect over the years. I have had only one bad experience with one doctor, so when I see the name on front desk... I either ask for another doctor or go back next day. All staff a this clinic are professional and willing to help... Maybe if a person has had a bad experience with clinic, they might to want to check their behaviour to staff before pointing fingers... just saying!

Visited the clinic today and didn't get past the receptionist, who was inappropriate, unhelpful and unprofessional. She turned me away for a sexual health concern- which she also seemed to be uncomfortable speaking about. I asked for advice on where else I should go and what my next steps should be, which was not acknowledged. Our interaction ended with her complaining about having to work on Canada day.

This clinic seems to be a venue for docs to indulge every dysfunctional personality trait they possess, at whim. I have been humiliated & left to scramble on my own many times. When I needed a referral to a specialist to do necessary paperwork to keep
my pension. That doc told me to let it go & attend a First Nations drop in centre in E Van. He said since I would be losing my income, I. Couldn't afford specialist anyway. The WORST however happened to my husband. He ha minor brain damage due to a severe heart attack, can't remember things. He liked a particular doc who prides himself on his "cool factor". I went in & told him that my partner had asbestos in 1 lung & required annual scans. Nothing. I dropped off legal documents authorizing me to act medically on partners behalf, along with 2nd request for scan. Nothing. 9 months later, partner in emerg with chest pain. He is carrying 8oz of fluid on his lung. Best guess? Stage 1 cancer. Oh, Dr "c" you are just so cool.

Aside from the actual visit with the physician, I had one of the worst customer service ordeals in a health or dental office that I have ever experienced. The receptionist was extremely condescending and just didn't listen to what I was saying. She was unhelpful and lacked the general knowledge that someone in her position should have. In addition to this, she was considerably rude, which made me uncomfortable and agitated. This is not someone who should be greeting or helping patients as she essentially failed to properly do either.

Having said that - the male physician that I met with was knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me certain protocols that pertain to women's health in BC. This was very helpful and he was reassuring and friendly in his approach. I would definitely return to receive health care from him on a walk-in basis; however I truly hope this review will help correct the issue with the front desk.

I had the worst experience ever at this office. I had been a patient of one of the Doctors. I have a number of allergies that they were aware of and yet they had prepared for my yearly exam with items that I cannot be in contact with. When I mentioned it to the assistant the Doctor barked at me that I cannot be treated by anyone than a Gynecologist as they are the only ones equipped and told me to get out. They sent me to a Gynecologist after waiting 2 months I arrived for the scheduled specialist appointment to discover than nothing had been communicated to them as why I was there. They did not have the equipment I was told they would have and the gynecologist said that the GP Doctor should have been able to do what he had to do in the clinic.

The Broadway +Burrard team made an already unpleasant situation and challenging health issues an absolute nightmare and utter humiliation.

In addition the desk staff is rude and unprofessional.
