I am a japanese student studying in Vancouver and when I first arrived I went to several medical clinics that were not helpful and I worried what I should do. Then a friend told me about Stein medical clinic and that they also speak Japanese and I should try them.
I found they are conveniently located downtown and when I arrived there I was greeted very warmly and in Japanese. I also found that it is a very pleasant surrounding to be in and the several doctors I have seen have always been very polite and caring. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I am very grateful for the care I have received on each visit to the Stein Clinic.
It is a great comfort for me to know that if I have a health problem I can be taken good care of at the clinic and my parents in Japan are also very pleased.
I recommend the Stein Medical Clinic for any of your medical needs.

I find the Doctors are not confident in their diagnosis of the patients problem. I have been back to the Stein clinic on 6 separate occasions now with the same issue over the last few months. Each Doctor will diagnose as something different. one will send me for blood work then never follow up. When I go back to find out what happened with my results and if there is a connection, they say "oh your ****** blood level is low, we need to prescribe pills for that". If it was of concern why didn't they call me? The next time I went they said they would refer me to a specialist to further look into the problem and that the specialists office should call me to make an appointment within a week or so....it's been about 2 months and I have heard nothing. Not to mention the front desk staff will quote you 20 minutes when you will actually end up waiting double that. The last and final time I will ever go there, I was told by one staff member that the wait would be 20 minutes for the Dunsmuir location. When I got to the Dunsmuir location and asked if it would be around 20 minutes, the receptionist said they would get me in much earlier than that. I ended up waiting for 1 hour before I had to walk out to get to a meeting, even though I mentioned to the staff member once I was finally sat in one of the rooms that I would have to leave in 5 minutes, I continued to wait an extra 10 minutes.
I'm very annoyed and will not be going to these clinics or recommending them to anyone.
